Shaping the Future Day 2024

Tuesday, 1 October 2024

9:30 a.m. to approx. 23:00 p.m. at Trafo Baden

Dear Key People Community

We are excited to welcome you to this year's Shaping the Future Day! We are looking forward to fostering our community, exchanging ideas, and connecting personally with you again.

Last year we spoke about the rapid changes we experienced in our market environment, and there has not been a slow down of happenings around us. In fact, we expect changes to even accelerate and become more complex. So, how to prepare for a different, yet unknown future?

We dedicate this year’s Shaping the Future Day to this exact topic and ask ourselves how our customers will live in the future and what this might imply for us as a company. We look forward to hearing from the futures experts from the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS) in a key note on megatrends, uncertainties and global dynamics and apply strategic foresight to discuss possible scenarios. As usual we apply the topic to our own company to see what is happening within our realm and what issues and topics we see on the horizon.

We look forward to seeing you at the Trafo-Building in Baden near Zurich. The building was originally a high-voltage laboratory for Brown Boveri & Cie., and electric transformers have been built since 1920 and today offers unique event spaces. We are looking forward to a day full of inspiring input and exchanges!

Trafo Baden - Location StFD 2024

The “Trafo” building was originally a high-voltage laboratory for Brown Boveri & Cie., and electric transformers have been built since 1920.

The industrial halls 36, 37 and 38 are the last remaining witnesses to the flourishing industrial history of Brown Boveri & Cie. They date back to the period of industrial development between 1910 and 1930 and represent the modern industrial buildings of the time in terms of architectural history. In Hall 37, electrical transformers were assembled until the 1970s.

The evening event will be held in the same complex, in the “Trafohalle”. hall is the former high-voltage laboratory of the BBC/ABB and was built in 1942 as an addition to the transformer factory. This is the venue where we are having our graduation ceremony and the dinner.
